  3. I wish someone had told me that I'd have to relearn how to control my bladder! It was an interesting few weeks after my first was born.

  6. Hi, I really want this book myself :-) I've just got married, but for the next six months my new husband and I are having to live apart because of work, but hopefully after we are reunited again for good we can start trying for our first child :) I'm both apprehensious and excited to hear about all the details of pregnancy.

  7. I wish someone would have told me how painful it would be to nurse for the first couple of weeks! All the books talk about how natural it is and if the baby latches on correctly it doesn't hurt. Well, it's all a lie. Haha (no seriously, it hurts!). I will read the book myself and loan it out to my friends who are prego with #1.

I wish someone had told me how to feed the just born baby. When my baby was born no one helped me, or showed me how to do it. My baby was given the milk bottle to stop crying.

  9. There are lots of things I wish I were told before having my little girl...like how much it hurts that first time going to the bathroom after giving birth...good lord that hurt! Also that nursing isn't the cinch that all the midwives made it out to be (and my mother-in-law, and my husband's two aunts who, between them, have 15 kids). I think this book would give me a good laugh, especially since I can look back on it and be like, "Oh, yeah. I thought that too. How wrong I was..." And then lend it out to my friends who are preggers with their first. ;)

  10. I would read this and pray for a miracle this year. I was diagnosed with PCOS in February and the Doctor told me I couldn't get pregnant, after it not happening since Oct. 2008. I am praying this is the year for me. <3

  11. Just that nothing goes as expected and do what is best for you and baby. Birth plans and ideals sometimes can go out the window in the end! I agree on the first time nursing thing -- it hurts!

  12. Everything! It seems like all you hear about is the labor and delivery. Labor and delivery are a piece of cake compared to everything else! I am pregnant with number 4 and would love a good laugh right now! :)

  14. Oh, I had plenty of people tell me plenty about being pregnant... I ended up with a c-section and I sure wish somebody would have warned me NOT to eat that fancy meal they serve at the hospital!!!
